Thomas Hardy's Cottage

Hardys Cottage - Almost everyone will have read one of Thomas Hardy's novels such as such as 'Far from the Madding Crowd' and Tess of the d'Urbevilles.
Now is your chance to visit the cottage where he was born. The cottage administered by the National Trust is deep in the Dorset countryside, surrounded by woods. There are 2 downstairs rooms and 2 upstairs rooms furnished in much the same way as when he lived there.
The cottage garden although only about 1/3 of an acre is very pretty with cottage plants  and a vegetable garden.
A very pretty and romantic place and a must visit for fans of Thomas Hardy.
