is a little gem of a garden, surrounding a seventeenth century
farmhouse, and I love the way you move from one space to the next,
from one atmosphere to another; sheltered Physic Garden, immaculate,
restrained Topiary Garden, the Fancy Garden parterre which you can look
down on from a lovely gazebo and the sublime Flower Garden. Plants can
be bought from the nursery; grown in the old fashioned way without
plastic pots (a plus in itself!), they are lifted and wrapped in
newspaper and I have never had one fail. |
