| One
of my favourite scenic places in England which should impress
visitors from far and wide. Set in the charming village of Corfe Castle with its quaint stone houses, the castle is perched on a hill with views far and wide. This ancient castle was attacked and destroyed by the parliamentarians in the English Civil War and is maintained by the National Trust. You can get up close to the castle by paying an entrance fee. There are gift shops, pubs and cafes as well as a steam rail link to Swanage. More beautiful places - click here! |
