| This
magnificent small castle was once home to Sir Walter Scott one
of the greatest literary figures the world has ever known. The 19th century novelist wrote amongst other pieces Waverley, Rob Roy, Ivanhoe and The Lady of the Lake. I loved be able to see Sir Walter Scott's Study, Library, Drawing Room, Entrance Hall, Armouries and the Dining Room. Also take time to see the lovely walled garden with beautiful herbaceous borders. The property is set on the River Tweed and there are various walks. |
