| The
charming seaside town of Clevedon is often overlooked. On the Severn
Estuary it has a long promenade and restored pier dating from 1869. Lovely for an afternoon stroll or there are longer walks along coastal paths in both directions. No real beach so not suitable for bathing or sandcastles. Visited by the poet Sir John who said the pier was the lovliest in Britain. The National Trust property Clevedon Court is worth a visit. |
